Tyler

Tyler is located in the piney woods of East Texas on Interstate 20 between Dallas and Shreveport. Known as the Rose Capital of the World, Tyler still produces over 1/4 of all the roses sold in the United States. The Tyler Municipal Rose Garden is the largest in the nation covering over 14 acres containing 38,000 rose bushes. Other attractions include the Caldwell Zoo, Brookshire’s World of Wildlife, Tyler Museum of Art, Discovery Science Place and the Tyler Rose Museum. The Arts flourish in East Texas with the East Texas Symphony, the R.D. Cowan Center and the Tyler Civic Ballet, as well as, many children and local performance venues. For the history buff, Tyler offers historic home tours, cemetery tours, living history exhibits and historical reenactments.
