Bridgeport

Located just 35 miles northwest of Fort Worth, at the crossroads of US 380 and SH 114, Bridgeport is a great location to get away from it all. The city was named in 1860 when a bridge was built over the Trinity River to accommodate the Butterfield Stage overland mail route. The town continued to flourish in industry with is vast amounts of earthen treasures – coal, oil, gas and limestone.
